In 1999, we embarked on an ambitious project to restore this vital waterway, undertaking the largest privately funded river restoration in the history of the United States.

Through our dedicated efforts, we transformed 17 miles of what was once a lifeless river into 26 miles of North America’s finest trout stream, teeming with vibrant aquatic life and offering unparalleled fishing opportunities. In addition to revitalizing the river, we also created 75 acres of new wetlands, further enhancing the ecological diversity and resilience of the surrounding landscape.
