Introducing Laura Jolley:
New Three Forks wellness instructor and esthetician

How many people can trace their profession back to their earliest memories? Laura Jolley can. As the newest member of the Three Forks family, she serves as a wellness instructor and spa esthetician — passions of hers since the beginning.

At 15, she wanted to be a makeup artist for Star Trek, so she enrolled in cosmetology studies but then discovered her strong interest in skin care and massage. After working as an esthetician and nail tech in Vail for about a year, she moved to New Zealand at 19 years old to attend both art school and massage school. After a seven-year stint as a Kiwi, she returned to Vail, where she and her husband worked as personal therapists for a family.

Now at the Ranch, she will provide facials, body treatments, and natural manicures and pedicures. As a wellness instructor, she will lead small-group classes and 1-on-1 sessions in gentle yoga and restorative/yin yoga; she will also lead our “hike to yoga” classes that take place in natural settings on the Ranch. In this role, she has come full-circle.

“One of my earliest memories is practicing yoga with my father,” says Laura, “I’ve studied yoga all over the world and with many different traditions, including Sivananda yoga, Iyengar yoga, Anusara yoga, Ashtanga yoga, and Hatha yoga. My personal favorite is restorative yoga and yoga nidra.”

And what exactly is yoga nidra, a new wellness offering at the Ranch? “It’s a guided meditation that is done while lying down. We try and relax the body and mind. It helps the practitioner find deep restfulness.”

Whether you choose to put your feet up with a pedi or practice yoga atop Three Forks Mountain, you’ll experience Laura’s lifetime of expertise — now within reach at the Ranch.
